Raising Hands

In Texas Hold ‘Em online poker, it pays to play selectively and aggressively at the casino online. These two characteristics might sound contradictory, but they advocate a very dangerous combination. The key to being selective is to be very picky about which hands you play, folding anything that doesn’t give you a big advantage over your opponents. Once you find a hand that you like, playing aggressive means going into the pot betting and making everyone else pay to see the flop.

Hands like pocket Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, and 10’s are all good hands to raise with. Even if someone raises ahead of you, you can feel comfortable reraising with Aces, Kings or Queens. When you’ve got pocket pairs like these, you most likely have the best hand, and your opponents can only win if the flop helps them out. Make them pay to see that online poker flop.

Suited face cards are also okay to raise with, because you’ve got a good number of outs when the flop comes-even if you miss the flush, you have a chance of getting a high pair with a good kicker. The same can go for an Ace with an unsuited King or Queen, as they can both give you high pair as well.
